Scott Jacobsen LAQ
Scott Jacobsen comes from a lifetime of swimming experience. He was actually able to swim before he could walk he began at such a young age. From here he spent 13 years as a competitive swimmer where he qualified for Zones (interstate swim championships) competitions every single year in multiple events. During high school Scott placed first in multiple State Championship events here in Washington, even making two Olympic Qualifying times! After high school he served a tour of duty with the United States Air Force before studying economics at Arizona State University. Scott has over five years of experience combined between coaching more advanced swimmers and instructing younger swimmers on the fundamentals. Coach Brenda and Scott not only worked together at Waterbabies USA previously instructing children but coach Brenda also trained him! Scott is very much looking forward to teaching swimmers of all ages and abilities how to be safe and confident in the water. He is also very excited and to meet and work with the more advanced swimmers who are looking to join a swim team meet their goals! Scott has comprehensive knowledge of USA Swimming requirements and rules as well as in depth knowledge of the local area swim teams, clubs and noncompetitive programs.
